Ingredients

  • 2 pounds skinless cod filets, cut into 1-inch strips or into bites

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat the air fryer by selecting the “Fish” function and adjusting the timer to 3 minutes. Once you press the “Start/Pause” button, it will start warming up.

  2. Add flour to a plate.

  3. Crack egg into a bowl and beat well.

  4. Add breadcrumbs, lemon pepper seasoning, paprika, and salt in a bowl or plate and mix them.

  5. Coat the fish bites in flour, in egg, and generously in breadcrumb mixture, respectively and put them in the rotating basket, if your air fryer has one. If it does not have one, you can also put them in the regular air fryer basket but in this case, you should shake fish bites halfway through cooking.

  6. Open the air fryer, put the fish bites into it, and close the air fryer.

  7. Set the timer to 8 minutes and press the “Start/Pause” button to start frying.

  8. Cook the fish bites until golden brown.

  9. Once cooked, open the air fryer, and transfer fish bites onto a serving platter.

  10. Serve warm with tartar sauce.

  11. Enjoy!
